Open house

Traditional Victorian terrace properties, due to their configuration, often turn their back on the garden. Situated at the rear is usually the utility room, bathrooms and in some properties the coal shed.


In this design exercise we explored opportunities of how we could remove the physical boundaries created by these items and in doing so create a series of open plan spaces with direct access to the terrace and garden beyond.
